ANALYSIS OF THE BAY

Areguling is a great option for more experienced surfers. It offers both right and left-hand reef breaks, making it a versatile spot for surfers.

RIGHT WAVE: The right-hand reef break is more prominent and offers long and playful waves with sections for manoeuvers, a great playground for intermediate surfers. Medium and big swells turn it into a powerful barrel machine where only confirmed and high end surfers take the challenge.
LEFT WAVE: The left is a scenic almond style barrel, just next to the gili nusa island.
It does need a bit of power to work and the ride tends to be short and fast but a lot of fun. A great challenge for confirmed surfers.

ACCESS TO THE SPOT

Areguling in 15mn from Kuta, and easily reachable by car and scooters, just the end is a dirt road but very pratical, a bit muddy in the rainy season.

You have a parking on site that cost 10.000 IDR per scooter and a bit more per car.

To reach out the waves you can paddle out, about 400m, or take the boat ride that cost 25.000 IDR per ride, so 50.000 both way.

WHEN TO SURF IT

Both waves work best during the wet season (October to April) when the winds are more favorable. The rest of year Areguling is really underrated with couples in great conditions in the morning.
